About Us
A History of Purpose
The St. Marys Area Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation located in northwestern Pennsylvania of the Appalachian Region. Founded in June 26th, 1985, the EDC was formed by a group of area business leaders with a goal to promote economic growth and development within and beyond the St. Marys area. The founders brought with them a knowledge of manufacturing, entrepreneurship, and a pride for their community that can still be felt in our organization today.
Since our incorporation in 1985, we have helped over 80 area businesses and have put over $10 Million into the area economy through various loan programs.
